June 16 Meeting Minutes

Mike Meyer, President, presented the Photography Club Mission Statement.
The RiverSong Music Festival staff was contacted regarding taking pictures and then receiving a donation. They will get back to us.
Linda has spoken with the library about displaying the monthly winners. A location was chosen. Blade photography will donate each month’s 8 x 10 “ print. A frame is needed – does anyone have one to donate? The winning print will be hung for one month.
The Legacy Grant deadline is August 16th. Mike will check into what we can apply for.
The ideas for the monthly “Focus Minute” topics were presented. They included:
Aperture, Rule of thirds, Shutter speed, Calibrating monitors, Composing your shot, 4-H presentation by Don, Framing your subject, Camera Modes, Basic Manual Settings, File handling, Free software, Internet file storage. Dawn volunteered to do “Framing your subject” for the July meeting.
June’s photo assignment was “Response.” Pictures were viewed. The June winner was Yummy by Dawn Haley. Tied for 2nd were Girl with Phone by Dave, and Story Telling by Dawn.
July assignment is “Stripes.”
