Improvement Ideas Wanted

Our club ranges in talents from those novice or starting out to people that do photography for a living. I want to hear from you what makes a camera club for you. I am looking for your ideas, so that we can strive to make the club better. Please submit ideas you want to see added, done differently, things that make a camera club fun and interesting for you.

I think it would be great to have a new camera trick or instruction each week. Now granted I have only been to two meetings so maybe you are already doing this, but we can read about it and hear about it but until we “DO” it, it is hard to understand the process. Also I would love to see some professional photographers come to Hutchinson this summer and hold some workshops….and not on the weekends…I am always busy with church and family on weekends so a weekday or even week night would be so nice.If we even have one a month that would be great….that is only like 3-4 for the summer….I highly recommend Jim Brandenburg as I admire his photography…And he has a great studio in Ely, MN so a visit to Ely would be fun… and they have both the International Wolf Center and the American Bear Center in Ely where we can photograph those animals.

OH that should be “each month” not each week….although I like the week Idea….LOL

Also having lived in Northern Minnesota I have so many neat places we could go to photograph that are off the beaten track that it would be fun to take some folks there. I have some friends that own Melgeorges’s Cedar Inn and Restaurant that we could have our base there and spread out from there. The Echo Trail is really close to there, and the drive from Buyck to Ely is beautiful….with many places to stop and take photos….
